Cash Assistance & Tax Credits › Settlements
Class Action Settlements and Refunds You May Be Able to Claim
When a company is accused of overcharging, hiding fees, or exposing customer data, a court or a government agency can make it pay people back. This page lists the ones open right now, sorted by deadline. Each card says who it covers, what proof you need, and the payment in the official wording. We are not the court, the administrator, or a law firm, and listing a settlement does not mean you qualify.

How to file safely
- Use the official site linked on each card. Settlement sites are run by a claims administrator named in the court notice; FTC and CFPB refunds are listed on ftc.gov and consumerfinance.gov.
- Be careful with anyone who asks for a fee to file a claim for you.
- Never give a bank password to file. A real claim form may ask how you want to be paid, but not for your login.
- Got a check you weren’t expecting? See how to tell if an FTC refund check is real.
Common questions
How much will I get?
Usually nobody knows until the claim period ends. Many settlements split one fund among everyone who files a valid claim, so each payment depends on how many people file. Each card quotes the official payment wording instead of guessing.
Do I need receipts?
It depends on the settlement. Each card’s “Proof” line says what the official site asks for. Some ask for nothing to file but can ask for proof later.
When do payments go out?
For a class action, payments generally come after the court gives final approval, and appeals can delay them. Each official site posts its own timeline.
How often is this page updated?
We check it weekly and date every card. Deadlines and amounts can change, and the official site always has the final word.
