If you used GoodRx's website, app, or services before April 20, 2024, you may be able to claim part of a $32 million privacy settlement. The claim form does not ask for receipts or other papers. The deadline is December 29, 2026.
The notice says each person with a valid claim "will receive an equal share of the Net Settlement Fund" if the court approves the deal. No one knows yet how much that share will be.
What is the GoodRx settlement about?
The notice calls GoodRx a "combination telehealth and prescription coupon company."
The suit says that from at least 2017 to 2020, GoodRx shared users' health details with ad and data companies. These details included the medicines people took and their health conditions. The suit names Criteo, Meta (Facebook), and Google.
GoodRx and Criteo deny they broke any law. This deal is with GoodRx and Criteo only. The claims against Meta and Google are still going on. They are not part of this deal.
The case is called Doe v. GoodRx Holdings, Inc. It is in federal court in Oakland, California. On September 8, 2026, the judge gave the deal early approval.
Is this the same as the FTC case against GoodRx?
No. The FTC brought its own case in 2023. The FTC said GoodRx shared users' prescription medicines and health conditions with Facebook, Google, Criteo, and others. GoodRx agreed to a $1.5 million civil penalty in that case.
This guide is about the class action. It is the one with a claim form you can file now.
Who can file a claim?
The notice says the group is "All natural persons in the United States who used any website, app, or service made available by or through GoodRx at any time prior to April 20, 2024."
In plain words, you may be part of this settlement if all of these are true:
- You are a person, not a business.
- You lived in the United States.
- You used a GoodRx website, app, or service before April 20, 2024.
The notice names GoodRx's website and app, GoodRx Gold, HeyDoctor, and GoodRx Care.
A few people cannot claim. These include GoodRx, Criteo, and their officers and directors, plus Meta, Google, and the judges and clerks on the case.
Not sure if you are in the group? The notice says you can ask for free help. Call 1-877-888-9232 or email [email protected].
Do I need receipts or proof?
No receipts are asked for. The claim form asks for:
- Your name, street address, email, and phone number.
- How you want to be paid.
- Your signature on a short promise.
That promise says you lived in the U.S. and used a GoodRx website, app, or service before April 20, 2024. You also certify that your answers are "TRUE, CORRECT, AND COMPLETE." Only file if that is true for you.
The form does not ask what medicines you take or why you used GoodRx.
Did you get an email or postcard with a Unique ID and PIN? You can enter them to help the claims team. The site says this is not required to file a claim.
The claims team checks each form. If something is missing, it will contact you. You then have 20 days to fix it.
Can I file more than one claim?
No. The form says each person may file "one Claim Form only," even if you got more than one notice.
How much will I get?
No one knows yet. The notice says, "At this time, it is not known precisely how much each Authorized Claimant will receive as the Settlement Payment or when payments will be made."
Here is what is known:
- Total: GoodRx and Criteo agreed to pay $32,000,000.
- Costs come first: These include the cost of notices and claims, taxes, account costs, lawyers' fees and costs, and awards to the people who brought the case.
- Lawyers' fees: The lawyers will ask the court for up to one-third of the fund, plus up to $125,000 in costs.
- Awards: They may also ask for up to $2,000 for each named plaintiff.
- The rest: The notice says each valid claim gets "an equal share" of what is left. It says the amount "will depend on the number of claims that receive approval."
The paper form lets you pick PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, a virtual prepaid card, or a paper check. Online, you pick from the payment choices shown on the form.
What is the deadline?
File online by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on December 29, 2026. A mailed form must be postmarked by December 29, 2026.
Two other dates matter only if you want to leave the deal or tell the judge you disagree with it. To opt out, your letter must be postmarked by December 29, 2026. If you opt out, you get no payment. Objections are also due by December 29, 2026. The notice explains how.
How do I file?
- Type the address yourself: GoodRxPrivacySettlement.com.
- Click "File a claim."
- Fill in your name, street address, email, and phone. The form does not take P.O. boxes for your address.
- Pick how you want to be paid. Then check the box and sign.
When you finish online, a "Confirmation of Claim Receipt" shows on the screen. The site says no email receipt will be sent. Print or save that screen, and keep your reference number.
You can also mail a paper form to: GoodRx Data Disclosure Settlement, c/o A.B. Data, Ltd., P.O. Box 173138, Milwaukee, WI 53217. The form is on the site's Court Documents page.
When will payments go out?
Not until the court decides. A final hearing is set for February 11, 2027, at 11:00 a.m. The judge will decide then if the deal is fair. The date can move without notice.
If the deal is approved, someone may appeal. The notice says, "It can sometimes take a year or more for the appellate process to conclude." Updates will be posted on the official site.
Is this real or a scam?
The settlement is real. A federal judge approved the notice. The judge named A.B. Data to run the claims.
To stay safe:
- File only on the official site or by mail to the official address.
- Do not pay anyone to file for you. The notice says you will not be charged for the lawyers the court picked, apart from fees the court approves from the fund.
- Got an email about this deal? Do not click its link. The FTC says to reach a company by "a phone number or website you know is real." Type the official address yourself.
- Do not call the court. The notice asks people not to.
