Before and after you apply
- Submitting an application does not guarantee housing, and does not mean you have a unit yet.

- After you apply, expect to get an Application Receipt Letter in about 6 to 8 weeks confirming your spot on the list.
- Your application stays active for 18 months. After that it expires and you would need to reapply.

Documents NHA asks applicants to have ready
- Original birth certificates or adoption papers for everyone in the household
- Original Social Security cards for everyone in the household
- Six current pay stubs or other proof of income
- Six current bank statements or proof of other assets
- Picture identification, marriage certificate (if applicable), and proof of citizenship or eligible non-citizen status
