Before and after you apply

There is no cost to apply for or stay on the Section 8 waiting list — never pay anyone to apply for you.
When the list is open, everyone who submits a complete pre-application is placed on the list by a random computer-generated number — applying earlier does not move you up.
After a waitlist period closes, applicants can register on the Applicant Portal (phxhousing.myhousing.com) about 30 days later to check where things stand.
